With the new Website comes a new feature - the Interlay 'Job of the Month'.

The purpose of this feature is to showcase work created by Interlay members and to provide some inspiration for your Driveway, Garden or Patio. Each month, a new 'Job of the Month' will be shown, featuring work from the largest to the very smallest.

The first job selected was sent in by Interlay member Gary Cooper Paving Limited.

The work was completed in August 2005 in Halesworth, Suffolk. Featuring improvements to the rear garden which had to be designed carefully by Gary Cooper Paving to complement an existing patio and driveway which had been laid previously, whilst following the style and colour of the house.

The lawn was in very poor condition and needed maintenance as it showed wear and tear from the owner walking to the summerhouse and back and the summerhouse was in need of a lick of paint. Gary Cooper Paving offered the practical approach of installing an off-center curved pathway with feature infill and kerbing to break up the large uninspiring lawn and provide practical access to the renewed summerhouse.

The products used were Brett Alpha Setts in Autumn gold with tumble key to form restraining edge to the paving and form an edge to a fill of natural plum slate.

The main work was a pathway in alpha setts with pergola over top to provide a contemporary touch.. 

Gary Cooper also installed a water feature and painted the outside of the summerhouse, which sits on a base also previously laid by them.

The installation acts as a feature to 'break up' the poorly developing grass lawn and provide a central pathway which gives a 'focus' to the newly repainted summerhouse.

Congratulations to Gary Cooper Paving Limited for their simple and elegant solution to a previously dull and uninspiring rear garden lawn.
