// Interlay Home / Job of the Month gallery
Congratulations to Dreamscape Paving for this impressive transformation.
Dreamscape discussed the needs of the householder and came up with a new design to meet the demands of the household.
Dramatically reducing the maintenance required, much of the old lawn was turned over to a low maintenance block paving surface, which can stand up to the rigours of regular use. Different colours, sizes and finishes of block were used to help keep the separate parts of the paving as individual areas of focus. An area of lawn has been retained and is now much more manageable.
The garden contains a number of interesting features which serve to break up the continuous area of paving and add focus to the full length of the garden, including a single low curved step over the full width of the garden and subtle colour markings made using edge blocks and coloured kerb units to the step. Interesting design additions include lighting at the step and an unu Another good idea is to include a pattern in the paving to break up an expanse of single colour and create additonal interest away from the house.
Congratulations to Dreamscape Paving on their inventive and practical garden transformation.
