Interlay would like to offer it's congratulations to Paramount Paving for winning
September's Job of the Month competition!

The company transformed this driveway in Lee, London SE12, for a very welcoming couple who provided the team with bacon rolls every morning - a gesture that didn't go unnoticed by the owner, John McGinlay.

The contract was undertaken to excavate the old driveway and garden, and install a new garden wall and driveway, along with a new step, adequate drainage and additional planting of a box hedge.

The driveway is detailed with a natural stone block paviour border and matching pathway. Paramount Paving also installed a small path around a central feature tree.

The construction of this driveway demonstrates a good understanding of the new SUDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) guidelines, with draingrids to the front and rear of the driveway, which connect to existing soakaways. In other areas, rainwater is directed towards the flower beds. The draingrids at the entrance of the driveway are to prevent any water discharging on to the public footpath/highway.

To reciprocate the kindness received from the customers, John and other members of his team returned to the property a week later to assist with planting the front garden with a box hedge and other shrubs; this resulted in the great photos you see here.
